12-year-old girl, i
Is there anything more pathetic than a father having carnal knowledge of his own child he should be protecting! It is heart breaking to imagine a child being subjected to this ordeal ! More awareness of prevention need to be raised that every child have a right and matters ! This perpetrators are not above the law and there must be a policy in place against incest as humanity violation! ...... RAP Founder

The 12-year-old girl, identified simply as Queen, who was allegedly raped serially by her father, Bamekpa, with her four-month-old pregnancy crudely aborted, has said she could not count the number of times Bamekpa allegedly forcibly had canal knowledge of her.

There has been public outrage against the incident, which occurred at Imiringi, Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, since it was reported by The Nation, with many people calling for Bamekpa’s arrest and prosecution.

But Queen relived her ordeal in the hands of her father and called on the Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, to step in and facilitate the process of bringing the man to justice. The traumatised SS1 student said

“He started sleeping with me in 2015. The first time he did it, I was in my room reading when he came in. He asked me the kind of school I would like to go. Then he came close to me. “When I stood up to go, he asked me to wait and started touching me all over my body. I asked him what he was doing but he told me to keep quiet and immediately pushed me into the bed. “He tied my hands backwards. When he saw that I was shouting, he covered my mouth with his hand, He started doing it increasingly from that time. I always cried and begged him to leave me but he would not listen.” She said she was afraid to discuss her ordeal with anybody because her father threatened to kill her if she did. She, however, said the bubble burst when she began to show signs of pregnancy.
She said:

“When I became pregnant, I didn’t know. My stepmother saw the signs and suspected that I was pregnant. It was when she began to ask me who impregnated me that I told her. I learnt she has moved out of the house.”
The teenager said her life became more traumatic when her father allegedly commenced the process of aborting the pregnancy. She said the method was crude and opened a chapter of health problems in her life.
She said: “My father, seeing that I was pregnant, took me to do an abortion. He took me to Elebele and handed me over to his female friend named Peace, who took me to a house in Otu-Aba. “They did not allow me to see the process, but I saw the instruments. It was very painful. After that day, I started bleeding because he didn’t abort the pregnancy completely. I was taken back to Otu-Aba on December 5 and from there, we went to Otu-Asiga to flush the remaining one. “I discovered later that my body system had been messed up. I noticed I was no longer menstruating. It was just recently that I was taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) where an operation was done on me with something like a container inserted into me. They called it a minor operation. I went back to FMC on Thursday to remove the container.”
Queen said she could no longer go to school because of the problems created by her father.
“I feel very bad. I want the police oga (police boss) to put him in prison. He has been doing similar things to many people,” she said.
Queen’s nephew, David Apigi, who reported the matter to Operation Rescue, asked the police to speedily and diligently prosecute the matter. He confirmed that her niece went through an operation at FMC.
He said: “The operation was done on her private part and a container was inserted into her. She went back on Thursday to have the container removed,” he said.
The Coordinator, Operation Rescue, Princess Elizabeth Egbe, said the police had promised to effect the arrest of other suspects after taking Queen’s statement. She said the Officer in Charge, Family Unity, Edith Washington, said the statement of the violated girl would be taken after her medical check.
She, however, said the NGO had no suspicion that the police were trying to sweep the matter under the carpet until they failed to effect arrest and commence prosecution within a reasonable time frame.
She said initially, the policemen in charge of the case said they had no money to go to the crime scene. She, however, said the police commissioner later made a financial provision for them to go there.
She said: “The police said they would commence the arrest of suspects after they get the girl’s statement today after her medical checks. They have not got the statement of the girl. “I don’t have any suspicion that the police are trying to hide the matter. The police said the suspect is in the state CID but we have not sighted him. The police have not been able to invite us officially for a meeting. “For now, I cannot hold them till after she has given her statement. The police said they didn’t have money to go to the crime scene but the commissioner made a provision for them to go there. If they failed to arrest the doctor and the lady, we will commence our campaign.”
Further lamenting her condition, 27-year-old Joy, who said she was raped serially by Bamekpa when she was between six and seven years old, appealed to the police to diligently handle the matter and ensure that justice is served.
Recalling the second time the suspect raped her, she said:
“While I was playing with other children, he called me and asked me to go to his room and get pineapple. When I went to his room, he came in and shut the door. He held me and pushed me into his bed.
“While I was shouting, he was laughing at me, boasting that even if I shouted with all my energy, nobody would come and rescue me. I shouted but nobody came.”
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Bayelsa State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Butswat Asinim, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), said the matter was being handled by the police. He assured that the matter would not be swept under the carpet, particularly because it involves sexual abuse of a minor.

The 12year

A 12-year-old girl who left her widowed mother in Akwa Ibom State and came to Lagos with her aunt, Joy Isong, in search of a better life has recounted how her aunt turned the blind eye after she was raped by her son, Daniel, and a father-of-five who attends her church, Christian Nse.

She told Punch,

“I loved to come to Lagos but I did not want to leave my mother, but my aunty said if I followed her to Lagos, I would be happy. But now, I am so sad I did not know this is the kind of thing I will come and go through here. I just woke up and noticed that a man was lying on top of me. I tried to push him away. I knew him. I had seen him in my aunty’s house a few times.

He is also my aunty’s customer. I tried to push him away from me. But he covered my mouth. Music was playing inside our house then. He had increased the volume and I did not know. He told me not to shout and said he would buy me expensive clothes. I told him I did not want any clothes, but he still raped me as he covered my mouth. When he finished, he told me to go to the bathroom and clean up the blood. Then he opened the door and left.

When my aunty came back, I told her what happened and she saw that I was still bleeding. She told me to go and clean up the blood. She then went out to see the man who raped me (Nse). He asked the man what happened and they went to see their pastor together.”

When they got to the pastor’s house, Nse reportedly admitted raping her, however, instead of reporting to the police, the pastor asked Nse to kneel and prayed fervently for him, asking God to deliver him from the spirit of rape. The matter was then swept under the carpet.

The girl added that her aunt subsequently resorted to teasing her about her ordeal.

“She started laughing at me. She was making jest of me and saying that I would become pregnant for the man. She said when I have the man’s child, I would become his wife. I always cried whenever she said that.

One man on our street later heard about the matter and went to tell the wife of the man (Nse) what happened. The man’s wife then came to my aunty’s house and took me to a hospital. The doctor in the hospital said that I still had some blood inside me that needed to be washed out. After he washed it out, he gave me injection and I was told to go home.”

Unfortunately, few days later, her aunty’s 18-year-old son, Daniel, also allegedly took advantage of her, and like her previous ordeal, she alleged her aunt was not bothered. She said,

“I told him that I would tell his mummy when she came back. I told him that I did not believe that he was an animal because I had always seen him like my own brother. But he just laughed after he had raped me. When my aunty came and I told her, she shouted at me to leave her presence. She said she did not like looking at my face because I am very ugly. She told me to get out.”

The traumatized girl then reported her ordeal to her class teacher who promptly informed the authorities, and she was handed over to the Jeshabel Foundation.

Founder and coordinator of the foundation, Mrs. Favour Benson, said,

“…The girl has been traumatised. She needs to go through a lot of processes to get her confidence back…

We learnt that the doctor, whom the girl was taken to by the rapist’s wife examined her and certified her to be alright even though he was told the girl was raped. The doctor made no attempt to report the case. He should be arrested too.

The most annoying part is that the pastor who should have also reported the matter to the police decided to conduct a deliverance on the rapist as well. After the deliverance, would the trauma of the victim vanish? He should be prosecuted for conspiracy in the crime too because all of them are members of his church. Francis is a member of the church, Christian is a member of the church, the aunty is a member of the church.”

Meanwhile, the girl’s aunt, her son, Daniel, Nse, his wife and the pastor have reportedly been arrested.

Ese's human rights violation
ABDUCTION! SEXUAL PERVERSION WITH A CHILD! IS ABUSING LAW OF HUMANITY ! VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS & CHILD RIGHTS 2003

The obsession with children as brides as cultural and religious even by enlightened and privileged men in certain part of Nigeria is insane and violation of humanity! It must be stopped and addressed ! Evident look of Anger and deeply violated Child!

The Prosecution of Yinusa Dahiru, alias Yellow for kidnapping ,child abuse as well as sexual violence is preeminent for abduction of 13years old Ese Rita Oruru  on August 12th 2015 and rescued at age 14 by the Police in Kano with intervention of IG Arase, a man with principle of purpose in getting sanity of respect for Law and humanity back in Nigeria.

Mr Yinusa Dahiru aka Mr Yellow not only abducted Ese and turned her into a Muslim, all without her parents’ consent but has been medically discovered to be 5 months pregnant. It was gathered that the white Hijab dress she wore on her arrival from Kano on Tuesday 1st March 2016 to Abuja was used to cover the pregnancy even though her physical condition and looks created a suspicion. Ese’s right to education has been truncated as she missed her JSS 3 exam because Mr Yellow was busy inhumanly changing the course of her life; she was subjected to undue spiritual ,physiological and physical imprisonment, and now she is a child bearing a child. In Ese's interview with The Sun, her innocence and vulnerability reveals itself and  despicable inhumanity of her tormentors. She knew Yinusa as one of her mother’s customers who comes around to buy food at their shop, and she being with her mother at the shop knows and relates with everybody, without any special relationship with Yinusa. “He is not my boyfriend”, she tells us. “I just followed him. I don’t know how I followed him.” She says she doesn’t even know how she found herself in Kano. Evidently hypnotic bewitchment that has become rampant in this evil world of today, had a devious play as her kidnappers made her to recite lines she did not understand, and gave her some strange water to drink. They changed her name to Aisha. This reveals a child whose childhood and spirit have been polluted by wicked souls, that Ese saw her mother at the Emir’s palace during an earlier attempt to rescue her in August 2015, she had been so polluted by hypnotic bewitchment she could not even recognise her own mother: “I just looked at her. I did not know her and I did not talk to her.” The girl child is a child, not a bride, not a sex slave: she deserves her rights to human dignity, access to education, freedom from discrimination, a decent life in a decent society and the right to fulfil her potentials as a human being and a citizen.  Thanks to The Punch newspaper which launched the #FreeEse, #JusticeforEse campaign and the civil society groups that took up the fight in a spirited manner that moved my mother to inform me in between a telephone conversation on Sunday afternoon, alerted me to the outrage and outcry of Nigerians that followed, within 72 hours this same 14-year old girl who was abducted from Yenagoa, Bayelsa state and taken to Kano, seven months ago, by one Yinusa Dahiru alias Yellow, is now free.
Ese's human rights violation 2

While we were still overwhelmed with this bizarre story on Monday 29th Feb. 2016, another bizarre incident occurred of a group of criminals stormed a school, Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary in Ikorodu, Lagos state and abducted three girls students: Olisa Oluwatimilehin, Popo Olaniyan Tofunmi and Akinayo Deborah are all in Senior Secondary School (SSS) 2 and are between the ages of 14 and 15 for ransom of N20 million per child ! How can this be! The girls were rescued in the early hours of Sunday 6th March 2016 at Igbokuta area of Lagos State,” said Ms. Badmus, a Superintendent of Police. She did not say whether the girls had been reunited with their families.

And if that was not bizarre enough, on Wednesday March 2nd  2016, there surfaced another report about a Benue girl, Patience Paul, who had been abducted at age 14 by two neighbours and married off to a certain “Sarkin Musulmi” in Sokoto state. Her brother cried out, obviously motivated to do so by the Ese Oruru story. Patience’s parents had reported her missing since August 12, 2015 – She was allegedly taken by two men in Gidan kukah, Runji sambo area of Sokoto state. Patience Paul, now 15-year-old school girl has been rescued – She was found on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the house of Malam Ibrahim, who calls himself Sarkin Baki who claimed he adopted the girl because he didn’t want to let her be with the hisbah(Sharia police) personnel had taken Patience to an imam in Runjin Sambo area of Sokoto with a claim that she wanted to convert to Islam.”

Set against the background of the abduction of 219 Chibok girls in 2014, a story that is well known internationally, Nigeria is now appearing in the eyes of the world as a large den of pedophiles - obsessed with young, under-aged girls, and the adolescent female. What a disgrace of human rights violation - From Chibok to Kano, to Ikorodu, to Sokoto in kidnap and under age sex perversion under consideration, lt.'s a shame of a nation as Nigeria and RAP-Nigeria insist on redressing the rights of the girl-child to dignity in every part of Nigeria. Ese could well have been one of those 219 Chibok girls still missing in thin air! But she is not, because a man with principle of purpose in getting sanity of respect for Law and humanity back in Nigeria is now inspector general( IG )and should be robbing off positively on all police zones in Nigeria.

Ese's human rights violation3

The life of a young girl has again been scarred forever, while her rescue faced the relevance, influence conflict between traditional and Legal institutions with undue superiority of the traditional institution in the North, ethnic and regional power dynamics, distortions and historical fault lines over Law guidelines.  If only the Kano zone police had effectively and efficiently carried out their primary job to protect lives and property by a strong follow up mechanism in place at the Kano Emirate Council when the Emir’s ordered that she should be released, Ese would have escaped the ordeal of being undue imprisoned into enforced marriage as sex slave and now scarred forever as child bearing a child

His accomplices if there are any, no matter who they are, should also be identified and made to face the full wrath of the criminal law justice. There must be sanctions and civil society must not get tired of this case. There are many other Ese's out there, whose future hangs in the balance because certain persons remain morally trapped in atrocities against innocent children in despicable acts in Nigeria. Miss Ese Rita Oruru was kidnapped from Bayelsa state to Kano and has been converted to Islam and renamed “Aisha”, forced into child marriage ! She is only now 14 years old , 5 months pregnant with a child ! Violation of humanity ! RAP-Nigeria can not but notice with curiosity that in two extremes of Nigeria, Ese at age 13 in Bayelsa State and Patience (from Benue) at 14yrs in Sokoto were abducted on same day August 12th 2015 , forcefully Islamised and their human rights and Child rights violated.

It is time to face the main reason why Violation continues with The Child Rights Act, which raised the minimum age of marriage for girls to 18, introduced in 2003 is that the legislation, which was created at a federal level, is only effective if it is passed by state governments. To date, only 24 of Nigeria’s 36 states have passed the act. .....RAP- Nigeria is reminding the Federal Government of Nigeria of it's obligation under global and regional laws, remains at variance with maintaining Section 29 (4) (b). Sec 21 and Sec 22 of the Child’s Right Act of Nigeria 2003 (CRA) , which prohibits the marriage of a girl child or support any such act by an individual. It further provides for punishment for anyone involved in its promotion in Sec.23. In addition, Article 18 (3) of the African Charter on Human & Peoples Rights and Article 27 of the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child all prohibit girl child marriages. Article 16 of the Convention on Elimination of all Forms Discrimination against Women (CEDAW); Article 16 (2) of the Convention of the Rights of a Child (CRC) all abhor child marriages. The 1962 Convention of Consent to Marriage, Minimum Age for Marriage, and Registration of Marriages also advocate for the stipulation of minimum marriage age of the girl child (Article 1 and 2).- " .governors of states who have not formally adopt and adapt the Act for domestication as state laws to be charged to court for violation of Child Rights Act 2003.....or the power given states exclusive responsibilities and jurisdiction to make laws relevant to their specific situations should be taken from state governments immediately "........Even Jesus condemned it in Matthew 18:5-6 ...."And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; 6but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.........(c) RAP Founder
